Janet Pinto Correia
Clinical Psychologist | Holistic Psychologist | Founder of LivingReal Workshops
From an early age, I developed an interest in the diversity of the world’s cultures and the inter-relationship of these cultures and its peoples. This affinity with human anthropology, coupled with my desire to serve and assist others, compelled me to complete a Bachelor of Psychology (BPsych) degree followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (MPsych), and pursue a career in psychology.

My career has now spanned more than two decades and, in this time, I have come to understand many conditions that afflict the wellness of the human condition. I have successfully pursued the treatment of: depression; stress; anxiety, in its many forms; trauma; grief and loss; self-esteem issues; relationship difficulties; repeated harmful habits; cross-cultural concerns; and other features of life adjustment.
I am particularly interested in the concepts of positive psychology, eastern philosophy, mindfulness, esoteric understandings and the neuroplasticity of the brain (i.e. its ability to adapt and evolve). It is these concepts that led me to recently develop and launch my LivingReal workshops.
